Different Looks

This is what it looked like yesterday.  Now it doesn't seem so bad compared to what it looks like today.

Of course if you are a child this might look better to you.

I didn't like the looks of my poor apple tree.

And I didn't like it that Misty looked like she was shivering.  But she could go in her shelter to keep dry.

I liked the look of enjoyment on Elly's face as she ran around in the snow for the first time.

And the looks of pleasure on my children's faces are priceless.

looked at the weather forecast and found that it is supposed to get up to the 50's again soon.  That helps my outlook as well.

Here are a couple short videos I took this morning.  You can hear the howl of the wind.

Since we were getting a nasty down draft I let my nice fire burn out.  We are using our furnace which I am thankful to have.  But it isn't as nice as wood stove warmth.

On the morning news I saw that our school district is taking a storm day.  Our home school doesn't take storm days.  I did cancel my appointment that I had in town this afternoon.  Tim said the roads were very icy.  He could only drive 30-35 mph all the way home from work this morning.  Since the wind is supposed to blow all day it makes for a bad combination.  Going to town isn't worth possibly having an accident.  I can wait.

The children are now inside from their first play in the snow.  So I had best go and start our school.

Stay warm!
