Lots of ice

Wasn't the warmer temperatures nice on Sunday? We have a problem with ice building up on our roof. I guess it is a sign of not having good insulation. Too, we have the stove pipe going through the west roof. That warms the attic space, which melts the snow on the roof, which freezes as ice. Tim wanted to get the snow off the roof. Since it is supposed to be warmer this week we are hoping most of the ice will melt.

As I mentioned in my previous post Brandon brought his friend Riley (on the left) home for the weekend. They both offered to help Tim with the roof. I know that Tim appreciated it.


Here's Tim. It seems there is always something to take care of around here. I'm glad that he is so handy.

As soon as Daniel and Leah heard that Riley was going outside they said they were too. They were his shadows! On Sabbath morning Leah asked me to guess who her best friend was. I was guessing names of young little girls that she knows. She would say, "No." Finally I said I didn't know. Then she said, "Riley!" Leah even cried when they were leaving.

Though Riley isn't used to young children he never got impatient with them even when they stuck to him like glue! We all enjoyed our weekend with Brandon and Riley.
