Well...we didn't make it to the Redwoods today. But we had a good full day. We saw this lighthouse and climbed to the top.
We got to explore tide pools during low tide and found all kinds of creatures. We were allowed to view and gently touch them. They were so amazing.
These were spiny but would give your finger a gentle hug.
Seeing the tide pools was my favorite part of the day.
We visited the sea lion cave.
The children loved the sand dunes the best. We had hoped to get a ride on a big dune buggy but they were closed when we got there. We did find some dunes we could climb. Daniel and Leah would run down them, fall and tumble, then climb back up again.
Very beautiful place Oregon is!
Tomorrow we are off to the Redwoods. We didn't quite make it before we got too tired. It is only about 150 miles from where we are stopped for the night.
Here is a short video of the sea lion caves.

Wow! The tide pools and sea lion cave alone would have made the trip worth it! I'm sure the Redwoods will be wonderful. Did you make it to Crater Lake by any chance?? Hope you're having a good time and RELAXING!! :)
After seeing the picture of it posted on your blog I wanted to see it. But it would be aways out of our way and we have so far to go as it is. We are headed to AZ to pick up our oldest son, just took the long way. We should get some hot weather there. Actually the temps in the 60s feel hot enough for us now. Got to thin that ND blood out a little at a time.
Hi Kimberly,
Thanks for another wonderful post! It was awesome to see the sea lions in their natural habitat instead of on the dock at Pier 39. These seem much happier!
Right this moment you may be in the redwood forest. That was part of our trip last Fall that was so unforgettable--the hush there was holy and I worshipped the Creator with a heart full of joy!
Blessings,
Dawn
